Adhesive Strip Application Instructions

1. Select a Silverlon® Adhesive Strip, sized to fit over the wound, laceration, burn, bite or rash. Moisten the silver pad with drinkable water and center the silver pad over the wound, overlapping all sides if possible.

2. Rinse or moisten the Silverlon® Adhesive Strip daily, using drinkable water. If your caregiver gave you saline or sterile water, use it to rinse your wound and not for the dressing. You may bathe or shower with the dressing on.

3. The Silverlon® Adhesive Strip should last for up to 7 days if kept clean and moist, and may be secured with additional medical tape if necessary.

Do not remove the Silverlon® Adhesive Strip while dry or if Silverlon® is sticking. If sticking occurs, rewet and saturate the Silverlon® Adhesive Strip waiting until it can easily be removed. If problems occur, including swelling, severe redness or sharply increased pain, contact your physician.

Optional: If you have a more serious or larger area to cover, please consider purchasing our Wound Contact Dressings.  Overlapping the wound by ¼″ on all sides dramatically improves results.

1. Do not use saline solutions directly on Silverlon®, as the chloride reduces the effectiveness.

2. Daily soaking and spraying with wound cleansers may increase the efficiency of cellular debris removal and extend the life of all Silverlon® products.

3. Remove Silverlon® prior to MRI procedures.
