Mastitis & Mastectomy Sufferer Instructions

Instructions for using SilverLining™ Breast Pad Pouch

For Breast Feeding Mothers:

The silver surface of the SilverLining™ Breast Pad Pouch is centered and placed in direct contact with the nipple. The absorbency pad placed within the SilverLining™ Breast Pad Pouch is discarded daily or when it becomes swollen and saturated. The SilverLining™ Breast Pad Pouch may be rinsed with clean water or gently hand washed with a mild detergent such as "Woolite", “Ivory Snow” or “Dreft” and reapplied with a new disposable absorbent nursing pad.

If nipple pain continues beyond one week or the nipple is cracked, bleeding, scabbed, blistered or excessively painful, seek the advice of an international board certified consultant or health care provider.

Directions for Use
  1. Wipe the nipple with warm water and pat dry.

  2. Remove the SilverLining™ Breast Pad Pouch from the sterilized foil packaging and slide a disposable breast pad into the pouch. On the non silver plated fabric side an opening in the fabric between flap A and flap B is designed to allow a disposable pad to slide into the SilverLining™ Breast Pad Pouch. The disposable pad is slipped under flap A and then positioned under flap B.

  3. Center the silver surface (Dark Surface - side without flaps) of the SilverLining™ Breast Pad Pouch directly over the nipple and hold in place with the bra.

  4. Prior to bathing, nursing or using a breast pump, gently remove the pad from the nipple.

  5. Replace the absorbency pad when it becomes swollen or saturated.

  6. Wash the SilverLining™ Breast Pad Pouch with clean water or a mild detergent such as “Ivory Snow” or “Dreft”.

  7. The SilverLining™ Breast Pad Pouch may be washed up to twelve times before replacement.
