In a pilot study, Silverlon^® reduced post-op infection 50% and hospital length of stay by 25%. In addition, via incentive Spirometry and SAO₂ testing, Silverlon^® was shown to reduce post-op pain. Available in a variety of sizes, Silverlon^® is typically applied in the OR and then changed at patient discharge.
