Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA) is a bacteria that is resistant to most antibiotics and can be acquired by people receiving medical care including kidney dialysis, surgery, burn treatment, sports injuries, or patients who use catheters. • A third procedure that is likely related to surgical care of infection was partial excision of the bone, accounting for 1.4 percent of cases.
