Using professional discretion, dressings may be kept in place for 48 hours. Silverlon® dressings may be checked and remoistened (if necessary) at diaper changes or other hospital protocols. Change dressing based on exudate build up and wound condition.

• Open the Silverlon® Post Circumcision Dressing Pouch
• Wet dressing with sterile water - DO NOT USE SALINE.
• Open tubular stretch knit and place over penis extending over glans penis, leaving meatus open and uncovered.
  • If persistent bleeding occurs the bleeding may be stopped with Surgicel® or other coagulatory agent. The Surgicel is placed between the Silverlon and the wound.
• Silverlon® dressing may be held in place with petroleum gauze, Coban®, or other compressive dressing.

• Open the Silverlon® CD-16 Circumcision Dressing Pouch.
• Wet dressing with sterile water - DO NOT USE SALINE.
• Wrap the glans penis, leaving meatus open and uncovered. Make sure to wrap 2-3 layers of Silverlon®
• If persistent bleeding occurs the bleeding may be stopped with Surgicel® or other coagulatory agent. The Surgicel is placed between the Silverlon and the wound.
• Cover the Silverlon® with a moisture barrier such as petroleum gauze, foam or other moisture control dressings.
